NSA’s Prying Eyes on EU-Cloud Project

An EU-funded research project was launched by Berlin the previous week. This project was launched with a motive to prepare a base for the European-wide cloud. The reports of spying by foreign governments are likely to hinder the proceedings of this project.

Some allegations have also been put on the foreign government of their prying eyes on this project. Neelie Kroes, vice president of the European Commission, said that the agency is shocked because of recent allegations put on foreign government. She hopes that these allegations will not put any effect on the development of cloud opportunity.

Toomas Hendrik Ilves, Estonia's president, said that cloud security has been on top because of these allegations. It has also raised awareness of cloud security in general public. He said that before 6th June this issue was not popular among public, but has become a pan-European issue for good and bad after this date.

This happened after the Snowden NSA leaked information regarding this project that seems beneficial for geeks. The foreign intelligence services believe this project to be more secure as it provides framework for a European-wide cloud.

The main motive behind the launch of this project is to have more secure space for storing official data. This will also increase trust level for European governments and its consumers.
