Annoyed 10-year-old Boy Leaves Construction Worker clinging after cutting his safety line
Liu, a worker installing lights outside an apartment building in China, was left dangling 100 feet above the ground after a 10-year-old boy cut his safety line.
According to sources, the worker was making so much noise doing his work that the boy couldn't hear his television. He got fed up and cut Liu's safety line. After cutting rope, he stood there and watched the worker clinging for life.
Liu said, "I was using an electric drill to fit security lights to the outside of the building when I felt safety rope shaking. I looked up to see what was wrong. Then I saw the boy cutting the rope".
Liu also said that he also shouted at the boy to stop but he didn't listen and cut the rope. After that, he called his workmate for help.
Liu was left dangling 100 feet above the ground to a single line of rope for about 40 minutes.
According to Liu, after cutting the rope, the boy just stood and watched him on a single rope. After some time, firefighters came and painstakingly pulled Liu into an 11th floor balcony.
A fire service spokesman said that the boy was not ready to tell anything regarding what had happened, but finally he had come clean and admitted cutting Liu's rope with knife. According to spokesman, the boy has also apologized for what he had done and promised not to repeat that again.
On the other side, Tang Peng, boy's father, has also apologized and given a new safety rope to Liu. According to Tang Peng, he has warned his son to never do that again. He also said that his son should be taken for some anger management therapy.
