Google announces three new fiber plans to suit the needs of businesses

In an apparent effort to give more options to small businesses which need super-fast Internet, tech giant Google announced on Thursday that it is launching three new fiber plans that will unfold flexibility as well as choice to business clients as per their requirements.

The introduction of three new fiber plans for business needs means that Google is moving away from the one-size-fits-all Fiber Early Access program which it had launched in 2014. The new plans will essentially give small businesses the ability to avail upload and download speeds ranging between 100Mbps and 1,000Mbps in cities where Google Fiber is available.

According to the details shared by Google about the three new plans, the entry-level plan will cost $70 per month for 100Mbps upload and download speeds; the mid-tier plan will cost $100 for 250 Mbps speeds; and the most expensive plan will cost $250 for 1,000 Mbps speeds.

In addition, Google has also increased the number of static IP addresses available to businesses, to up to 13.

About the three new fiber plans launched by Google to suit the needs of businesses, John Shriver-Blake -- Google Fiber Product Manager -- said in a recent blog post: "We know that businesses come in different shapes and sizes. They have varying needs and would like the flexibility to choose a plan that best fits their needs."
