At the PAX East event this weekend, Harmonix laid down its plans for Rock Band 4 game in 2016, revealing that it has plans underway to launch a big expansion pack of the game this fall.
According to Harmonix's announcement, the forthcoming Rock Band 4 expansion pack will be followed by the game's synchronous online multiplayer, which will likely be launched in the holiday season this year.
Revealing that the Rock Band 4 online multiplayer will be available to the owners of the games upcoming expansion pack "shortly after" the expansion pack hits the markets this fall, Harmonix said that the online multiplayer will unfold a "fair and streamlined experience" for gamers who want to play Rock Band 4 online with other gamers.
The announcement of the imminent release of the online multiplayer feature for Rock Band 4 in 2016 holiday season will apparently please the game's fans who were disappointed at the lack of the feature at the game's launch, especially since the feature was available for Rock Band 3.
Meanwhile, revealing that online multiplayer feature will only be one of the features coming to Rock Band 4 as a result of the fall 2016 update, Harmonix said: "We've got brand new features heading to Rock Band 4 that have never been in any previous Rock Band title, ever."
