Ducati unveils its new retro-inspired 2015 Scrambler motorcycle

The new retro Scrambler motorcycle was finally unveiled by Italian manufacturer Ducati on Tuesday. The unveiling of the motorcycle came after months of teasing previews on social media and at different locations across the world.

The new for 2015 Scrambler motorcycle was unveiled by Ducati at Intermot in Colonge, Germany. The motorcycle will be available in three versions --- the Classic; the flat-track inspired Full Throttle; and the Urban Enduro with its high front fender.

Ducati's new for 2015 Scrambler motorcycle is priced approximately $8,600; and it marks an 'affordable' modernization of a retro-classic design aimed at a new generation of riders, including women.

Equipped with an L-twin two-valve 803 cc motor, the new retro-inspired Scrambler motorcycle boasts some 'tried and tested' materials like the aluminum of the rear swingarm and engine covers as well as the steel of the teardrop tank and frame. These materials have been effectively combined with some new-generation features like front and rear LED lighting and LCD instruments.

Asserting the fact that the new 2015 Ducati Scrambler motorcycle is aimed at new and young riders, but is styled after the 1960s and 1970s bike of the same name, Ducati has touted the new Scrambler, in its promo material, as follows: "Anti-conformist, accessible and essential, the Ducati Scrambler is a perfect mix of tradition and modernity, a stride towards the pure essence of motorcycling.''
