Bigwig US wireless carrier AT&T's prepaid service Cricket Wireless has recently announced the launch of a new prepaid plan which will enable customers to avail the benefits of unlimited data, text, and voice for $70 per month, or for $65 per month if customers opt for automated billing.
The mentioned cost of the new plan being offered by Cricket Wireless is its final cost, inclusive of all taxes and fees. Cricket Wireless customers who opt for this new plan will be able to enjoy unlimited talk, text and LTE data across North America.
The unlimited data service is provided by Cricket Wireless on AT&T's data network which has the capability to offer high-speed mobile data as per modern standards. However, LTE and 4G speeds for the prepaid network are throttled to 8Mbps and 4Mbps respectively.
Customers who sign up for the new unlimited data plan offered by Cricket Wireless will not be able to make a hotspot on their smartphones for the purpose of sharing the unlimited data with other devices.
Meanwhile, as of now, Cricket Wireless does not have any policy in place to impose any penalty on customers for consuming substantial amounts of data on the new unlimited-data plan. However, it is possible that "reasonable network management practices" may be considered by the carrier in the future.
