Ted Wins World Cup Race in Austria

It seems something great for Ted Ligety, as he won the seasons World Cup race for three successive years in Soelden. The 29-year-old champion has maintained his power in the giant slalom by defending his world title.

The previous year he defeated six of eight races and achieved success by giving run lead to his nearest rival by 0.79 seconds. Alexis Pinturault of France has achieved second position, which is a great achievement on his part being a 22 year old player.

Alexis is in competition with Ted from 2011 and is willing to achieve 15th World Cup podium. Marcel Hirscher, America, won third position and Marcel Hirscher from the same place grasped the 19th position. This is also not less on his part, as he had recovered himself from 20-month injury layoff.

The next World Cup event will be held on 16th November in Finland. Ted is on led of 0.90 seconds after the first run and had a total time of 1 minute, 59.50 seconds. Ted said this hill suits him better and he feels enjoyed in doing his job at this place.

Ted has been titled as the first person to win the season opener in three straight years. This has become possible after winning his 18th career title in the giant slalom.
