Luxury carmaker BMW has announced that it will soon launch a sporty version of its little electric-car i3 that will boast sportier wheels, a slightly different look along with a range of enhancements.

The upcoming model, dubbed the i3s, marks the first time when BMW has added a dedicated sport package to the i3 lineup, though the company’s i8 is already sporty enough.

The 2018 BMW i3S will come equipped with a motor capable of producing 184 horsepower (hp) and 199 lb-ft of torque, which will represent a slight enhancement over the standard motor that has 170 hp and 184 lb-ft of torque.

The will boats stiffer suspension, wider 20-inch wheels and a 94 ampere-hour high voltage lithium-ion battery. Running purely on the battery, it will sprint from zero to 60 miles per hour (mph) in merely 6.8 seconds and hit a top speed of 100 mph.

The BMW i3s will be unveiled at the 2017 Frankfurt Motor Show, which is slated to take place in September. Pricing for the new car will likely be announced at a later date.
