In a recent announcement, online music service Rdio has revealed that the deal which enables its US users to access to free music streaming for a six-month period has now been extended to a number of countries, which comprise almost all the countries where the service is accessible.
According to the Rdio announcement, the move implies that the users in the countries to which the `free music streaming' deal has been extended will be able to score up six months of free music streaming through the Internet.
Elaborating about the expansion of the deal in an email to CNET, a Rdio spokesperson said that, with the company's free music streaming already available in the US since October 2011, the latest move now brings free access to Rdio in a total of 15 countries; and is chiefly aimed at attracting "international users."
These countries, other than the US, include the UK, Australia, Belgium, Canada, Denmark, Estonia, Finland, France, Netherlands, New Zealand, Norway, Portugal, Spain, and Sweden. However, the users in Brazil and Germany will still not be able to avail the benefit of the free music streaming deal.
Further revealing that the free music streaming service will be available to current as well as new Rdio users in the mentioned countries, the company said that new users will not be required to provide any payment method while signing up for the service, and that they will get instant access to the service's music library.
