The newly-created Special Operations unit of Indian automobile major Tata Motors-owned Jaguar Land Rover has recently taken the wraps off its Lightweight E-Type, which is an exact replica of an aluminum-body E-Type racecar that the company first manufactured way back in 1963.
Jaguar had revealed in an earlier-this-year announcement that it plans to revive its historic racing car --- the Lightweight E-Type. The company said that it would manufacture six more Lightweight E-Types in a new Heritage department on the site of the original Browns Lane factory in Coventry, England.
