An ice cream has been invented by Manuel Linares, a Spanish physics professor, which changes its color every time it is licked. A flavored (tutti-frutti) ice cream has been dubbed as Xamaleon.

The experimentation was conducted by Linares with the help of some scientists. Linares has now set up a laboratory cum ice cream parlor named as the IceXperience.

The colors changed by the ice cream vary from numerous shades of blue, pink and purple with each lick. The professor has not shared the secret recipe behind the ice cream as of now. But it seems that the process of color change is dependent on certain changes in the temperature as well as the saliva. The professor informed that all the ingredients used in the ice cream are natural, and the flavors of the future would be from African and Peruvian aphrodisiac plants.

He is also looking forward to make the other kind of ice cream from plants that glow under fluorescent lights. He will also add some radioactive isotopic sprinklers for garnishing.

Linares said that he wanted to learn cooking too apart from being a trained physicist. He joined the Hotel Business School Hoffman in Barcelona and took classes for making ice creams as well. He was once asked in a class by his instructor to create a new flavor of ice cream.

Linares replied by saying, "When he asked me what type I was going to make, I said one that changes color. Everyone laughed, but as a physicist I know that there are various possibilities that might work". He finally managed to create the ice cream he talked about and it really changes color.
