Microsoft worked out Surface Pro 3 issues with the help of Penny Arcade artist

Microsoft is all set to ship its new Surface Pro 3 tablet by the end of this week; and the company's product designers and engineers are reportedly working at some fixes which will help bring about an overall improvement in the experience of using the tablet.

The fixes which will be implemented by the company's engineers before the launch, are largely based on user feedback from Penny Arcade's digital artist Mike Krahulik (aka Gabe).

Gabe - who had previously described the Surface Pro 2 to be a highly impressive tablet - has revealed that Microsoft had invited him to observe how he interacted with the new Surface Pro 3 tablet.

Divulging that he was not too impressed by the Surface Pro 3, Gabe said that the main issue with the new tablet was that it introduced some lag into the equation for menu navigation and drawing; with the home button positioned in a new, much more inconvenient location.

The Microsoft team vigorously took notes with regard to Gabe's use feedback on the Surface Pro 3. The key issues which Gabe highlighted in the tablet included placement off the home button, problems linked to general performance, and the way the pressure sensitivity feels "off."

Gabe said that while working on the issues he had highlighted, the Microsoft team presented him with a sampling of the different Surface Pro 3 hardware configurations. Later, after about one week, the team came to the Penny Arcade offices to show the modifications made to improve the tablet.
