Thousands Celebrate Christmas in dark in US, Canada

According to a latest report, this time's Christmas was less than merry and far from brightness for thousands of families. This is true as many families who live in the upper Midwest to the far Northeast and Canada have suffered due to natural calamity.

Sources revealed these people suffered on the Christmas Eve as ice storms caused all power lines to drop. All this resulted in putting many people or families into dark and cold during the festivity, according to sources.

It has been revealed by the sources that this Christmas Day and the holidays have proved to be the worst holiday week in the past 126-years. It is claimed by the sources that this Christmas was the most terrible for the people in the history of Michigan's largest power company known as Consumers Energy.

Consumer Energy spokeswoman, Deborah Dodd says that since the weather has been frigid, nothing has melted.

She said, "For every quarter-inch of ice we get on a line, that equals 500 pounds of pressure on an electric line and in some places we got an inch of ice on trees and surfaces so it's horrible".

She also explained that today in some places, we are expecting winds to blow up, which does not seem to help our efforts at all.
