Germany is well prepared to face either World Cup winner Spain or the officially No, 2 team the Netherlands, Germany’s coach Joachim Loew said.
With an ideal record of ten wins, Germany has already breezed through the Euro 2012 qualifying campaign. Formation of the groups for Euro 2012 finals is scheduled for December 2 in Kiev.
While Spain, the Netherlands are expected to be put in pot 1, alongside Poland and Ukraine; Germany, England, Italy and Russia will be put in pot two. It means Germany may face either the Dutch or Spanish.
But, Mr. Loew said that he had no concerns.
Speaking on the topic, he said, “We know that we could meet Spain or Holland in the group stage and we have to assume that can happen. I have no concerns. We have been working for years towards our goal of being better and consistent.”
Last Tuesday, Germany’s team beat the Dutch 3-0 in Hamburg and is now one of the favorites to grab their fourth European championship crown.
At the 2010 World Cup in South Africa, Germany advanced quickly with its aggressive football, but it was stopped by Spain in the semifinals.
