Square Enix's 'Final Fantasy: Brave Exvius' role-playing game (RPG) for iOS and Android devices is set for launch in the West later this spring. The game was released in Japan in October 2015.
The Final Fantasy: Brave Exvius is a free-to-play RPG available for iOS and Android mobile devices. According to the game's publisher, the downloads of Brave Exvius by gamers in Japan have already surpassed the five- million mark.
In an indication of the imminent arrival of Final Fantasy: Brave Exvius on smartphones in Western countries, a recently-released teaser trailer has revealed that the pre-registrations for the spinoff are now open; with an English- language version scheduled for rollout in the near future.
The Final Fantasy: Brave Exvius comes with the Final Fantasy name, but its gameplay has largely been borrowed -- thanks to developer A-Lim -- from the mobile RPG series Brave Frontier. The Brave Exvius used the touchscreen battle system of Brave Frontier, with special attacks unleashed by gamers when they swipe in different directions.
In addition, Final Fantasy: Brave Exvius will also unfold for the gamers some familiar summons, magic spells and turn-based battles. The character illustrations of the Brave Exvius mobile game are credited to well-known Final Fantasy artist Yoshitaka Amano.
