Traditional Vienna is going brand crazy in its so-called luxury facelift and this is working absolutely fantastically in attracting more tourists to the city from Arab, Asia and Russia along with the locals.
Sources are confirming that Vienna has recently opened half a dozen of the new five-star hotels along with the flagship stores for Louis Vuitton, Prada and Emporio Armani. With this luxury facelift, the Austrian capital that is known as the epitome of elegance and culture has also become a brand stop that is presently wonderfully delighting Arabian, Asian and Russian tourists to it.
Among the recent openings are the grand hotels like the famous Sacher, Bristol and Imperial along with other five-star hotels i. e. Ritz Carlton and a Kempinski. Now, if you will walk through the city centre, you can enjoy the window displays with the latest Miu Miu handbag or Vivienne Westwood fashion on the display.
Moreover, the city now has a new bloc called the Golden Quarter which houses a three-storey Vuitton shop along with other branded shops like Roberto Cavalli and Mulberry showcasing their collections. Soon, the bloc will be added by the first Yves Saint Laurent store in Austria, sources confirm.
Others in the upcoming list are a Four Seasons, a Park Hyatt and a third top-ranked hotel, which are expected to come to the city by next year.
"There is hardly a brand that isn't present in Vienna... there is no reason to go anywhere else anymore for high-end shopping," Mr. Helmut Schramm, head of the Vienna Economic Chamber's fashion division, told AFP.
