Uber can now collect passenger data up to five minutes after a trip ends

In an announcement made via recent website post, ride-hailing service Uber has revealed that it is rolling out an update to its app, for bringing about an improvement in customer experience with its new location feature.

According to the details shared by Uber on its website, the new update to the Uber app comes with the capability to track the location of the passengers even after they have been dropped off.

‘Lego Worlds’ is coming to PC, PS4, and Xbox One in Feb. 2017

On Tuesday, Lego A/S and Warner Bros. Interactive Entertainment -- Lego's videogame publishing partner -- announced that building-block game 'Lego Worlds' will be coming to the PC as well as to the PlayStation 4 (PS4) and Xbox One consoles in February 2017.

According to the announcement, 'Lego Worlds' game is scheduled to arrive on the PC, PS4 and Xbox One platforms on February 21, 2017.

The Korea Herald has revealed in a recent report, based on smartphone industry rumors, that device maker LG has efforts underway to release its new handset – LG G6 – in 2017.

UCF researchers create high-powered battery with supercapacitors

A team of researchers at the University of Central Florida (UCF) has recently disclosed its creation of a new high-powered battery which will last for days after only a few seconds of charging.

According to the details shared by the researchers, the new high-powered battery is packed with supercapacitors which have the capability to store a huge amount of energy. The battery can be recharged more than 30,000 times; as against the currently available lithium ion phone batteries that have a lifespan of between 300 and 500 charges.

CIRP: Amazon has sold 5.1 million Echo units in US thus far

According to a recently released Consumer Intelligence Research Partners (CIRP) report, the sales of online retail giant Amazon’s Echo smart speakers – launched two years back – in the US has surpassed the ‘5 million units sold’ mark.

The $180-priced Amazon Echo smart speaker was first made available for purchase exclusively for Amazon Prime members in 2014. And, in June 2015, Amazon announced the general availability of the smart speaker to all consumers.
