In a letter sent recently to Facebook-owned WhatsApp messaging service, European privacy watchdog group, the Article 29 Working Party (WP29), has warned the service about its changed privacy policy which facilitates the sharing of WhatsApp user data with Facebook.

With the changes made by WhatsApp to its privacy policy paving the way for the sharing of user data, the European regulators have told WhatsApp that they have some "serious concerns" about the changed policy.

Tech giant Apple has filed a federal lawsuit this week, accusing a former Amazon supplier - New York-based Mobile Star LLC - of trademark infringement. Apple has accused Mobile Star of selling fake iPhone chargers on the Amazon.com website.

Though Apple has not targeted Amazon in the trademark infringement lawsuit filed against Mobile Star, the online retail biggie has been put into bad light because of the complaint against its supplier.

On Wednesday, Netgear announced the launch of its new router --- the all-new Nighthawk X10 AD7200 Smart Wi-Fi router.

The new Nighthawk X10 router is priced at $500, and is now available for purchase in the US from local retail and online shops. The availability and pricing of the router in the UK and Australia are yet to be officially announced by Netgear.

The Nighthawk X10 AD7200 Smart Wi-Fi router is the second router on the market -- after the TP-Link Talon AD7200 router -- to boast support for the latest 802.11ad Wi-Fi standard which works on the 60GHz frequency band.

On Monday, Apple announced the rollout of the fourth iOS 10.1 beta, which unfolds the Portrait camera for the company’s newest iPhone 7 Plus handset.

In announcing the iOS 10.1 beta 4, Apple said that the beta is now available to registered developers as well as to public beta testers on iOS 10.1, with effect from Monday, October 17.
