Elcomsoft: Apple saves up to four months of customers’ call history on its iCloud servers

In a Thursday disclosure, Russian computer forensics firm Elcomsoft said in a blog post that US tech giant Apple continuously stores the call history of customers on its iCloud servers for a period of up to four months.

According to Elcomsoft, the customers' call history saved by Apple on its iCloud servers includes private information like phone numbers, dates of the calls, and the duration of calls.

Twitter launches new update to crack down on hate speech

Twitter has announced that it is cracking down on hate speech, with the launch of a new update in a series of incremental changes rolled out by the company for curbing online harassment and improving the abuse reporting process.

In announcing the new steps being taken by Twitter to tackle hate speech on its platform, Del Harvey -- Twitter's head of safety -- said that the company is giving its users more control over their experience on Twitter.

JLR unveiles its ‘Jaguar I-PACE Concept’ electric car

At the Los Angeles motor show on Monday, bigwig British carmaker JLR took the wraps off its first electric car --- the ‘Jaguar I-PACE Concept.’ The unveiling of the electric car has brought JLR’s strategy into the limelight.

The introduction of the Jaguar I-PACE marked a virtual reality unveiling of the vehicle at a star-studded event which was attended by several A-list stars, including Hollywood actress Michelle Rodriguez and funnyman James Corde; as well as One Direction’s Niall Horan, and models David Gandy and Miranda Kerr.

HTC: New ‘Bolt’ handset is “Sprint’s fastest smartphone ever”

HTC has launched its new handset – ‘Bolt’ – which is a Sprint-exclusive smartphone in the US. The Bolt connects to Sprint’s LTE Plus network; and is being touted by HTC as “Sprint’s fastest smartphone ever.”

In officially announcing the new Bolt smartphone, HTC said that the device will be available at the Sprint retail stores, and can also be purchased online via Sprint’s website. The cost of the handset is $600.

PayPal announces integration with Apple Siri on iOS

PayPal payment platform has revealed in a Thursday announcement that it has integrated with the well-known Apple Siri digital assistant on iOS.

According to the announcement, version 6.7 of PayPal’s iOS app now gives iPhone and iPad users the ability to send as well as request money with the help of Siri commands. As a result of the Siri integration feature, PayPal now joins Square Cash and Monzo in so far as the addition of Siri support for sending and receiving payments is concerned.

Slice: New MacBook Pro’s revenue figures are already 7x more than 12” MacBook at launch

According to the latest sales statistics released by research firm Slice, the revenue generated by Apple’s new MacBook Pro laptop has already surpassed, by more than seven times, the revenue generated by the 12-inch MacBook when it was launched in April 2015.

The latest Slice statistics also show that the new MacBook Pro laptop’s launch sales for are already equal to 78 percent of all of the revenue which the 12-inch MacBook has accumulated since its launch.
