JLR unveiles its ‘Jaguar I-PACE Concept’ electric car

At the Los Angeles motor show on Monday, bigwig British carmaker JLR took the wraps off its first electric car --- the ‘Jaguar I-PACE Concept.’ The unveiling of the electric car has brought JLR’s strategy into the limelight.

The introduction of the Jaguar I-PACE marked a virtual reality unveiling of the vehicle at a star-studded event which was attended by several A-list stars, including Hollywood actress Michelle Rodriguez and funnyman James Corde; as well as One Direction’s Niall Horan, and models David Gandy and Miranda Kerr.

In unveiling the Jaguar I-PACE Concept electric car, JLR said that the production model of the car is scheduled for unveiling late 2017. The automaker also added that the vehicle will likely hit the roads in 2018.

The Jaguar I-PACE Concept electric car boasts an attractive exterior design, along with luxurious, crafted interior. As such, the vehicle features all the trademark features associated with Jaguar’s Scots design guru Ian Callum.

Asserting that the Jaguar I-PACE Concept “represents the next generation of electric vehicle design,” Callum said: “It’s a dramatic, future-facing, cab-forward design with a beautiful interior – the product of authentic Jaguar DNA, electric technology and contemporary craftsmanship.”
