‘Deseat.me’ website allows netizens to ‘clean up’ their online presence

Two Sweden-based developers – Wille Dahlbo and Linus Unnebäck – have created a website which gives Internet users the ability to delete their online presence with the help of just a few clicks.

The internet deletion website designed by Dahlbo and Unnebäck is called ‘Deseat.me.’ The website, according to its developers, allows netizens to completely ‘clean up’ their presence on the Internet.

About the ‘Deseat.me’ website, Dahlbo and Unnebäck have revealed that the website ‘erases’ netizens entirely from the Internet. The website essentially unfolds an absolute ‘Delete’ button which can be used by netizens to completely remove their presence from websites and search engines.

The service which allows netizens to completely ‘delete’ themselves online can be used only by people who sign-up and use online services with their Google credentials. Before deleting the users’ online presence, the service seeks their email addresses and passwords, for listing out all the websites they may have ever signed up to, or have accounts for.

After confirming with the users whether they would like to get deleted permanently, the service lists three websites at a time, asking users to either ‘add the website to delete queue’ or ‘keep.’ Finally, all the websites added to the queue are listed out, marked as delete, and users get the option to delete their details permanently.
