Finally, Apple has reached a deal with China Mobile to sell its iPhone through the China Mobile. There seems have a great collaboration between Apple and China as it has ended up with all the existing negotiations between the two. It has been reported that this deal will lead to bigger market share of Apple in Chinese smartphone market
The companies can now survive against the declining shares for which Apple suffered loss in last quarter. It has been declared that iPhone 5s and 5c models will now be available in the China Mobile’s retail stores from 17 January.
Along with this, phones for China Mobile's network will also be easily available to users in Apple's retail stores in China. This deal was under talks between the CEO’s of both the companies from past six years.
It has been reported that the deal will offer the company an access to China's 1.22 billion mobile subscribers. This will offer the Apple access to bigger market for iPhone products in the fastest developing Asian economy. The demand in China for smartphones is increasing at faster pace than developed markets.
This deal is also beneficial for the China Mobile as it vanishes out the entire competitive disadvantage in drawing high-end subscribers.
