Hypo Alpe Adria, nationalized lender, is stuck in financial crisis. It has been said that by the time November ends, Hypo will not be having minimum capital requirements in state funds.

This situation has been adding pressure on Austria's two political parties to agree for forming a coalition. The Social Democrats (SPO) and People's Party (OVP) are trying to come up with a new government.

Both have their own agenda, but it seems that things are not peaceful between both the parties. At one hand, the SPO has been campaigning for taking measures to protect public pensions and levying a wealth tax on millionaires.

On the other hand, the OVP wants to reduce state spending and want to come up with new taxes. Now, when Hypo's need for urgent cash is increasing, it has become important that both the parties have a meeting and discuss the things.

Senior OVP negotiator Josef Puehringer affirmed that the matter is quite serious. They want that the SPO should understand the gravity of the matter.

"No one can or wants to move on this before the next finance minister is fixed. That is the serious problem", affirmed one of the regulators.
