Austria's Wiesberger, Argentina’s Gonzalez Share Lead in Johnnie Walker Championship

As per reports, it has been unveiled that the Johnnie Walker Championship at Gleneagles has started. The event that started from Thursday has witnessed the completion of its first round.

Results of the first round saw Austria's Bernd Wiesberger and Argentine Ricardo Gonzalez to be sharing the lead. Gonzalez's world ranking is 352 and he has won the competition for four times. But it's been four years now that he has not won the competition.

On the other hand, Wiesberger was found to be in a good form. He has won the European Tour for two times.

It is said that Wiesberger and Gonzalez will be present in Ryder Cup that is going to take place in 2014. Both of them will be completion with Australian Brett Rumford, Thailand's Thongchai Jaidee, English trio Oliver Fisher, Ross Fisher and Mark Foster and Spain's Ignacio Garrido.

"I didn't make a lot of mistakes. I had troubles the last couple weeks driving the ball, and coming off major championships where you have to be very precise off the tee", said Wiesberger.

He continued by affirming he was quite fresh when he participated in the event. He was having one week off and that helped him to keep relaxed.
