Tesla Motors global sales and service president Jon McNeill will receive $700,000 if he meets certain targets for this year, the electric carmaker announced on Wednesday.

The renowned electric carmaker said that under his incentive compensation plan, McNeill will get the above-mentioned amount in case he meets vehicle delivery target during the second half (Q3 and Q4) of 2017.

The company added that the payout will also take into account operational as well as financial metrics with regard to vehicle service performance, in addition to costs and client satisfaction scores during the current year.

The compensation will be made in either in cash or in stock options. It may also include restricted stock units.

Earlier this month, CEO Elon Musk warned that Tesla could face months of “manufacturing hell” as it boosts production of its newly launched Model 3 e-car.

Tesla faces a big challenge as it ramps up service for all new cars while continuing to produce its previous models, viz. Model X and Model S.
