Most of the people are not aware of the true value of antique items and generally, the owners tend to overvalue them. The actual value of an antique item mainly depends on the buyer or the collector.

Most of the people believe that the prized possession is very expensive but it turns out that the Old Man at the pawn shop of the show Pawn Star thinks that it is just worth $50 and to your surprise, the seller accepts the price and does the paper work and goes home happily.

Of late, reality TV series "Pawn Stars" has been very captivating and it is reported that it has a huge audience base.

"Pawn Stars" is a 30-minute episode that is shown during primetime Thursday nights on the History Channel. The show is based on the Harrison family's business, Gold and Silver Pawn Shop, which is on the outskirts of Las Vegas, and run by Rick Harrison, his father Richard "Old Man" Harrison and his son Corey Harrison. Another famous and fun-loving employee of the shop is Chumlee Russell who is a friend of Corey. The 30-minute episode is very interesting and people bring in historical and vintage items to sell.

Sailing on the popularity of the show, "Pawn Stars" is now being branched out recently with a new show, "Pawnography", which will be shown at 10 and 10:30 p. m. Thursday night on the History Channel.

The concept of this new show is such that Rick, Corey and Chumlee will put up various items of value from the pawn shop that the contestants will contest for.
