KGI reveals Samsung Galaxy Note 8 dual camera details

Samsung is yet to officially unveil its next-generation flagship Galaxy Note 8 smartphone, but KGI Securities analyst Ming-Chi Kuo has already revealed some key details of the upcoming device’s dual camera setup.
The well-connected analyst predicted that the Samsung Galaxy Note 8’s dual camera would feature 3x optical zoom, which would be higher than the iPhone 7 Plus smartphone’s 2x optical zoom.
Kuo added that the Note 8 dual camera would consist of a 13MP wide-angle lens that would be accompanied by dual photodiode (2PD) and a 12MP telephoto lens with dual 6P technology and 3x optical zoom.
Both sensors will support (OIS) optical image stabilization. The rival iPhone 7 Plus smartphone has OIS just in the wide-angle lens.
However, Kuo didn’t reveal what focal length the upcoming Samsung smartphone’s camera sensors would support. In the iPhone 7 Plus, the telephoto lens has a 56mm focal length.
Best known for his Apple Inc.-related predictions, Ming-Chi Kuo predicted in April 2017 that the Samsung Note 8’s dual camera would be far superior to Apple’s iPhone 7 Plus.
