According to the information of the source, the digital payment company PhonePe has partnered with Goibibo to allow in-app hotel bookings and payments. The user will be able to book hotels and pay for the same via the PhonePe app. The user will have Goibibo-like experience on PhonePe while booking the hotels, even the users will also be able to avail cancellation and refund options in the micro-app.

Through the partnership, Goibibo will offer a 'Hotels' microapp on the PhonePe app to book international as well as domestic hotels, also user will also be able to use their goCash balance to make these deals.

Chief Operating Officer at Goibibo, Sanjay Bhasin said, “This partnership will extend Goibibo's extensive selection of more than 50,000 domestic hotels and homestays, including Goibibo, certified goStays and half a million international hotels to PhonePe's growing customer base.” Further, Sanjay added, “PhonePe has taken a unique approach to solve digital payments, and their open ecosystem allows us to build the Goibibo experience into their app and engage with a wider user base on their platform.”

Apart from all these things, the partnership will get to offer Goibibo’s 50,000 domestic hotels & homestays, including Goibibo certified goStays.

As per the information of the source, PhonePe claims 100 million users and has in-app tie-ups with RedBus. A couple of days before, PhonePe has entered into a similar partnership with Ola Cabs where users can book an Ola through the PhonePe app.
