BlackBerry is getting channel partners onboard with new BlackBerry Secure platform

In a recent announcement, BlackBerry Ltd. has revealed that it is getting new channel partners to sign on with the company, with its newly introduced mobile security platform called BlackBerry Secure.

The new BlackBerry Secure platform was unveiled by BlackBerry – which was once a bigwig player in the mobile phone market – on Thursday, December 8. The new platform, as per BlackBerry, marks the conclusion of the integration of technologies which BlackBerry has acquired in recent years via its deals with companies like Good Technology, AtHoc, WatchDox, and Encription.

In sharing details about the new BlackBerry Secure mobile security platform, BlackBerry said that the platform essentially targets the Internet of Things arena, and is a core component of the company’s software push.

In revealing that it is now cultivating channel partners for its software initiative, BlackBerry said that its partners are being readied for marketing the company’s BlackBerry Secure mobile security platform.

Towards that end, Richard McLeod – BlackBerry’s Global VP of Enterprise Software Channels – said: "We are looking for partners that want to continue to move up the application curve and continue to grow services capabilities and application integration capabilities."
