Siemens AG Buys Invensys Rail to strengthen Core Business

In order to focus and strengthen its core expertise, Siemens AG has entered into a deal with Invensys and is going to buy their rail business. The deal has taken place and Siemens AG has bought the rail business for 1.74 billion pounds.

It seems that a lot of brainstorming has been done by Siemens AG while cracking the deal. The deal will act as a gateway for the company to have an access to the customers of Spain, Australia, the US and Britain. While confirming the same, Siemens said that they will be able to have contact with Invensys customers, which will surely boost their revenue.

They have been expecting that the company will be able to have revenue of more than 100 million euros and that too by 2018. It has been found that Siemens have been planning to boost its productivity for a long time.

They wanted to take such steps, which can bring them, closer to their rivals. "We are pulling out of a non-core business with limited potential for synergy and simultaneously strengthening a robust and profitable business, by bringing together two organizations with similar corporate cultures", said Siemens. On the other hand, shares of Siemens were found to be raised.
