Samsung Galaxy S7 Active fails CR’s water-submersion tests

The Consumer Reports (CR) magazine has revealed in a July 8 article that bigwig South Korean device maker Samsung's Galaxy S7 Active smartphone has failed CR water-submersion tests. The tests were carried out to test Samsung's claims that the handset is water-resistant.

The Galaxy S7 handset is the ruggedized version of Samsung's latest Galaxy S7 and S7 Edge smartphones.

Samsung reports 2016 Q1 profit of 6.68 trillion won; posts strong mobile-profit gains

On Thursday, bigwig South Korean electronics firm Samsung Electronics reported its earnings for the 2116 January-March quarter, posting strong profits from its mobile division. The mobile-profits gains reported by Samsung for the latest quarter come after seven consecutive quarters of plunging profits.

Rumors making rounds about Samsung Galaxy Note 6

Bigwig South Korean device manufacturer Samsung has recently launched its new Galaxy flagship handsets -- Galaxy S7 and Galaxy S7 Edge -- and rumors have now started making rounds about the company’s forthcoming device, the Galaxy Note 6 phablet.

The next-generation version of Samsung’s Galaxy Note is believed to be another Samsung flagship device to be launched by the company in 2016.

Phone Arena: Galaxy S7 has inferior battery life compared to Galaxy S6

According to a Phone Arena report, the battery of Samsung newest Galaxy flagship handset - Galaxy S7, and its bigger Galaxy S7 Edge counterpart - is bigger than that of its predecessor, but the battery life of the new models is comparatively inferior to the previous ones.
