Microsoft to launch full version of ‘Minecraft: Education Edition’ on Nov. 1

In a recent announcement, Microsoft has revealed that it has scheduled the official launch of the full version of ‘Minecraft: Education Edition’ for November 1, 2016.

The Minecraft: Education Edition was first announced as a legit classroom tool by Microsoft in January this year. Subsequently, the company rolled out an ‘early access’ version of the tool to a limited number of educators.

According to a development first reported by the Financial Times (FT), Microsoft is shutting down Skype’s London office which the company had inherited when it acquired Skype for $8.5 billion in 2011.

The reported decision by Microsoft to shutter the Skype London office is quite hurtful, all the more so because Skype was founded in London in 2003.
