Acer introduces $169 7.9-inch Android tablet - Iconia A1

In an announcement which marks Acer's latest addition to the `budget' 7-inch Android tablet market, the company has recently unveiled its $169-priced Iconia A1 laptop. With the new Acer laptop having being launched in the so-described `Netbook-of-the-moment' category, it will apparently take on the likes of HP Slate 7, Lenovo IdeaTab A6000, and Amazon Kindle Fire.

Acer Aspire S3 Series Looming All Over IFA 2011

Acer's new Aspire S3 Series Ultrabook made its way this morning in a jam-packed Berlin hall at IFA 2011.

According to the reports, majority of people were impressed from this year’s newest launch of great value laptops by the Taiwanese giant.

Acer's new Aspire S3 Series Ultrabook is an ultra-slim laptop, which is only 17mm thick and 13mm thinnest, well contributing to gain it the name of the slimmest laptops.

Moreover, this newest launch is even slightly slimmer than the Samsung 9003X, which is impressively slender and had gained appreciation for same worldwide.

Acer Faced Loss in the Western European PC Market in Q2: Gartner

Technology research firm Gartner Inc. has revealed that the Taiwan's Acer Inc. has suffered a loss in its base in the Western European PC market in the second quarter of this year.

The company has witnessed 18.9% decline from the analogous quarter of 2010 in the PC shipments in Western European market, with only 12.7 million units in the second quarter of 2011.

However, Hewlett-Packard Co. backed the first position with 25.1% market share, the Acer followed with 16.2%, Dell Inc. with 10.8%, Asustek Computer Inc. with 8.1% and Apple Inc. with 7%.
