Tesla all set to deliver new Model 3 electric vehicles to customers

Elon Musk-led electronic-carmaker Tesla is all set to deliver the eagerly-awaited new Model 3 compact electric car to the first batch of its registered customers.

The renowned carmaker confirmed yesterday that its first 30 customers will get the new Model 3 compact car this week, on Friday evening.

The Model 3 is just half the cost of the company’s previous electric cars. Thus, it has the potential to attract a large number of customers. Tesla already has a long list of customers waiting for grab their Model 3. The company is improving its manufacturing facilities to deal with rising demand for its electric vehicles.

Tesla has announced that the Model 3 will be similar in size to the luxurious Audi A4 or the BMW 3 Series. It can seat five adults along with more cargo capacity than similar vehicles of its size, thanks to trunks in the front as well as rear.

The list of striking features of the Model 3 includes partially self-driving system called Autopilot, and automatic lane-changing. However, it will have fewer configurations than previous models to ease the process of manufacturing.

The Tesla Model 3 will run 215 miles on single charge. With starting price of $35,000, the Model 3 e-car comes at half the cost of the previous models. With a $7,500 U.S. tax credit, the price falls to $27,500.
