Alfred Angelo Bridal Stores Closure Leads to Panic Among Customers with Pending Orders

Many brides were in for a rude shock after Alfred Angelo Bridal announced closure of all the stores of the company. The company announced closure of its stores without informing the customers in advance and there are many customers who have ordered their wedding dress with the company. The company filed for Chapter 7 bankruptcy and informed that all its stores will be closed. The company hasn’t given any information about the pending orders.

Alfred Angelo Bridal was running 61 stores before the company abruptly announced its plan to close all the stores. The Alfred Angelo Bridal website has not given any information about the closure of stores. Additionally, the customer support Twitter handle hasn’t posted any tweet after July 5.

Patricia Ann Redmond is handling bankruptcy case for Alfred Angelo. Redmond informed that she has received nearly 7,300 emails from customers after the company announced bankruptcy.

As per NPR report, Alfred Angelo's store in Tulsa, Okla., opened the store on Friday. The staff helped many customers track their wedding dress.

Alfred Angelo has been in business for 80 years but an abrupt announcement of bankruptcy has left many brides in panic. For many women with wedding event within few days, it will be difficult to arrange for a new wedding dress.

Lawyer Redmond informed she would ask the court-appointed trustee in the case to release dresses already in stores awaiting pickup, as well as a $1.2-million shipment for Alfred Angelo coming from China so brides can get the dresses they’ve ordered. She added that the company will offer support to brides in order of wedding date.
