Volkswagen Will Unveil Seventh-Generation Golf GTI at Worthersee Festival
At the annual GTI meeting and Worthersee Festival in Reifnitz, Austria, Volkswagen will be showcasing its new concept based on the seventh-generation of Golf GTI which has been designed under able guidance of Volkswagen's Head of Design Klaus Bischoff. The new concept is named as `Design Vision GTI' which will offer the looks at a super uber-track-focused Golf GTI.
The new Volkswagen GTI comes with a twin-turbocharged 3.0L TSI V6 good for 503hp and 413 lb-ft of torque. The new concept reworked on all round development of the machine so that it can cope up with that extra speed and power which including specially reinforced chassis along with upgraded steering and brakes. The suspension of Volkswagen GTI has been widened as well as lowered along with the look of a wider body.
Mark Gillies, Volkswagen Manager of Product and Technology, unveiled some of its more features by answering the questions of the curious lovers of cars. He was quoted as saying when he was asked about the racing aspect of the car, "As for the racing side of it, the cars we ran at the 24 Hours of the Nurburgring were pretty extreme, so it's always a possibility".
